Kali’s interest in cooking started while helping her mother at home in the kitchen in Nepal. Kali admits that her mother is her culinary master learning mostly everything she knows from her. Kali has always been a keen cook and opened her first takeaway in Camden Stables market in 2012 under the name of “Nepali Kitchen” which had an amazing response and was fortunate to be able to get to know some fantastic customers who became friends still in touch some five years later.
Kali’s food is a selection of authentic Nepalese dishes which she has personally selected and created using the freshest ingredients which she obtains from specialist stores to stay as true to the original recipes as possible.

Way back in the Palaeolithic day, during our evolution we became attuned to hyper vigilance. For the sound of the crack of a stick in the Woods could easily be a wolf about to leap out and devour us, however even in mondern-day times human minds still chose to remember unpleasant or threatening events, to enable us to be guarded against further traumatic events from happening again in future.
Catherine says: I’m a 49 year old university educated woman, in a loving long term relationship, a lengthy career within the service and education sectors, with stable finances, a love of theatre, literature, politics, Spain, language, culture, warm weather, food and wine and I’ve had a mental breakdown! Too many decades of anxiety, perfectionism and the over riding perception that I could never be good enough came to a head. Subsequent GP referrals to local mental health providers, counselling, drugs and group talks all helped to get me back on track, but it was the acceptance and resilience gained from practising ‘Mindfulness’ that has kept me there. I find it invaluable and I hope that I can share what I’ve learnt to help others.
